It’s one of those anxious times where we wait for Apple to review the JellyChip app.
We’ve had some success, we’ve had some failures when submitting reviews to Apple. It’s pretty horrible putting your faith into another company and especially one as particularly perfect as this giant.⠀
But I love Apple and I love what they’ve made their App Store. By making developers conform to such a high standard in developing apps, they’ve truly created the best marketplace to be part of.
We’ve worked hard on this version and triple-checked everything with the QA team, so despite a ton of new code it should be schweet.⠀
Apple is like a benevolent dictator and that’s sometimes a good thing. Not to say that dictators are good - they are often ruthless and evil - but sometimes dictatorships work if they work for the benefit of their people.
We've seen this in countries that are thriving metropolises under authoritarian rule, but end their lives as nations reduced to rubble as regimes are overthrown and returned to the "people". "People power" - and everything associated with free will - and the resulting civil conflict to fill the power vacuum, can be more damaging than a system of leadership.
People don’t always know what they want. I do not support dictatorships but sometimes people make decisions for short term gain and to their long-term detriment.
Mob mentality is a thing - sometimes it results in the worst decisions and outcomes. This has to do with our primal instincts to get together and rally against a certain cause - with building momentum - without always knowing the consequences of the "groups's" actions.
This must be something to do with that very primal bit of humanity that still lingers about us.⠀
Anyway we’ve just started work on a better donate function so it’s back to it. Faster donations in the pipeline should make you very happy indeed!
