We’ve come a mighty long way over the past couple of months. We’ve finalised the designs of our iOS and Android app, and developed both versions! Now launched - our apps are gaining popularity by the day and JellyChip is getting noticed. We're starting small this time and ensuring bug fixes are implemented quickly, feedback is listened to, and the core product does the job. Using this approach, we are aiming to update both apps every Friday just like Notch's Minecraft. This will allow us to move quickly in continuing to bring the best version of JellyChip to market - but we have a solid foundation finally. And something we're very proud of.
Our website served as a great platform for testing the JellyChip concept over the past 2 years. Users earned over 1,500 charity gifts on the web, 700 surveys created and we had over 6,000 users, but we know the future is mobile and the product fit is mobile. Already since our apps have launched we have seen a 130% increase in survey responses. This is awesome and shows that we have finally cracked the best way to bring JellyChip to it's users - it's all about the app.
We are avidly creating our new survey platform and hope to have this complete over the next 3-4 weeks. We are updating our survey platform to reflect a new professional focus that will allow companies to survey JellyChip in the best way possible.
Our "create survey" portal is hugely important to JellyChip's success as surveys pay for every charity gift our users buy. We have done the maths and studied how users earn points (and how many), therefore we have a good idea of how many surveys we need to pay for our charity gifts. We have actually been paying for every single charity gift purchased on JellyChip ourselves over the past 2 years - that's a lot of gifts! This also goes for our current 149 gifts bought on JellyChip in August - we bought every gift. However, we've done this in the belief that JellyChip will pick up as people love our app, trust our platform and companies survey those users. We all take risks and this is one of ours!
The plan is basically this: excellent product (tick) >>> users that love JellyChip >>> surveys >>> lives changed and JellyChip stays alive!
Now we are trialling an ad platform on the apps right now but don't worry - these ads are non-invasive, are not targetted and use none of your private information. They're just there to see if non-invasive ads have a home on JellyChip and can support our revenue in a small way. Currently it's not really providing benefit to us so these plans may change.
In other news! We have also switched our website to the informational "www.jellychip.com" site to give users a greater understanding of what on earth JellyChip is. This is very good for the curious people of the internet, who wonder what JellyChip is, are we legit, and can we really be offering free charity? It's a great place to find out all this information and we've spent a lot of time creating content. Go and check it out at jellychip.com.
Finally, we've just submitted a new update for iOS and Android - our 1.26 version fixes several loading issues, a logging-out issue, 3 Snaps issues and a fix for chat notifications. We’ll let you know as soon as this update is live!
We'll leave you with this - a glorious picture of JellyChip's Lifeline screen. Come and change lives with us and join the party on the internet. We’re just starting out but we truly believe we can change the world. Surveys, Chat, Snaps, Friends and Charity - let’s make this happen!
