Again, you probably know the drill by now! We're working hard on making JellyChip awesome. Blah, blah, blah. But we are INDEED making fantastic progress which is a very great thing.
Today we continued work on adding flags to the Trivia. This will allow users to inform us of trivia with bad/incorrect answers or poor spelling/grammar. You know I have a sneaky feeling about trivia, that it could indeed turn out to be one of the main features of JellyChip, or at least one of the most fun. Some of our brightest JellyCitizens have pointed to the fact that we could use trivia as a way to educate users. Additionally, we could gamify trivia further to include levels and points rewards based on the difficulty other users have experienced in answering the question. The more difficult the question, the bigger the reward. This is something we'll definitely examine in the future.
We've also started work on ways to block a user so users are not spammed with Friend requests. I'm not sure why a user wouldn't get the hint when a recipient of a Friend request does not approve it, but that's okay. We'll find a way to allow users to block other users outright and we'll implement it. Actually we've already designed a button and UI flow which we'll put on the naughty user's Profile so it shouldn't be a problem.
Progress! Now we're coming to the end of our Stage 1 development and then it'll be complete focus on our server management and optimising the app for the four corners of the world. There's a few features beyond our existing work that I'd like us to focus on and it may involve a few key community items that I would love to see complete in Stage 1. We'll see how my designs are vetted by the programmers and if they like what they see. Community is going to become a huge part of JellyChip, if it isn't already, and I believe this will increase as our app becomes more addictive and our community solidifies.
Also by virtue of us being a very "personal" life-changing app that truly effects people in need - I hope it begins to create a sense of purpose and willingness in JellyCitizens to connect with random people and make a difference together. You can only hope that by creating the best platform on Earth that it'll bring people from all the races and creeds of the world together. And that they'll enjoy the app as much as we enjoy making it! We're striving 100% to get to that utopia.
