Time to Sleep

I’ve been sleeping so badly the past couple of months - and I’m sure tonight will be no exception. 

Tossing and turning, waking up every hour. I’m not one for a solid night’s sleep in Singapore and I tend to find myself wondering why.

Anyway it’s been an eventful day and we’ve successfully planned out the rest of the week. We’ve just finished work on adding a “rate us” popup to the app and now I can rest for the night. 

I used to be very much anti “rate us” types of popups for the reason that I hated having to beg users to give us positive feedback. 

But I now recognise they’re necessary - users are so busy in their daily lives. Heck, they’re so busy in JellyChip. 

It’s really important to grab their attention once per week to ask them a small favour: if you love JC please give us 5 stars.

Also it’s interesting to note that we’re churning out updates every week, which means we need new votes every week. This is the downside to constant platform upgrades - users can never witness a bulk of 5 star reviews in one single version. 

We constantly have to remind users to update their ratings/reviews and we need to do it in the most polite way.

Perhaps I’ll run an event that rewards users for positive reviews - let’s see. Is that even allowed?

Anyway a native “rate us” pop up is in and I hope people see it as a plea for help in the early days of JellyChip’s life. Thanks for supporting us by the way and we love you very much.

Now it’s onto a very restless sleep.
