Our branding is really cool. It’s gone through so many iterations you wouldn’t believe - some really bad iterations that I’d rather not resurface. But we’ve switched to a really professional flat design dominated by a sweet red colour and I like that.
It is aggressive and you’ve made that very clear in Lifeline Feed but it stands out and that’s what I’m going for here. I think our next steps are to properly redesign everything to match that red.
Namely, I need to redesign the JellyChip social media headers, but most importantly the website.
The website has also undergone some changes but now I need to truly reinvent the site with a community focus. Gone are the days are loads of stagnant text. I’ll be fixing the site tomorrow and I need to keep our messaging clear and the ability for new and returning users to see our communication channels clearly.
Things also have to look nicer and they currently do not with the huge whites and blacks. I’ll also create a page for all our social links, blog posts and new forum. The forum will be a place for people to post 1) questions, 2) ideas, 3) problems and praise. It’ll also be cool to hear how you’re experiencing the JellyChip app and where you want it to go.
We’re currently up to our neck in bugs primarily as we refactor the app and move the app architecture to one that can scale for millions of people. But now it’s truly time to seize on the need for community and get you guys to start building this with us.
The first versions of the site look so much better today. Tomorrow I’ll really sit in silence and work out our messaging better and where to put what. I’m very confident we’ll make this our “final redesign” for a while.
