We’ve had a good think with the team and we should probably do this too.
JellyChip needs to ensure it’s signup and login functions are absolutely perfect. This also means ensuring users do not “get stuck”.
We find that our system cannot detect correct country phone number formats if the user enters their phone number first and then country code. In fact the country code should come first - our system then has a MUCH better chance to parse the phone number appropriately.
Once again it’s a case where we sometimes get items the wrong way around. No drama. So we’re doing this now. Having the country code first also seems appropriate from a user point of view - 1) what’s your country, and 2) what’s your phone number? That makes more sense to me I think.
We’ve only had 1-2 issues with this across the world so far (one in Germany and one in Malaysia) but we have to prepare for millions of JellyCitizens. We’re reversing this now to prepare for that.
Small detail but means a lot to me. I hate getting emails where users can’t get into JellyChip! That really frustrates me.
Thanks for bearing with us - we’re extremely thankful you’ve joined us on this journey. Let’s try and make JellyChip the best it can be for you. At least the login!
Raining again now.
