Social Links launched last week in JellyChip 2.14 so let's explain a little more about how they work.
The rationale with introducing social media links to your Profile was to provide a way to connect JellyChip with the real world. More specifically, to connect your JellyChip identity with a real world identity.
This is 100% optional but its a great way to show off who you really are on other social networks. It's also great for people being able to friend you on other social platforms like Instagram which have a more conventional way of sharing photos etc.
So how does it work?
First things first navigate to your Profile by tapping the right-most icon in your bottom bar. Then press the Settings icon in the top right of your Profile.
Once you're in your Settings press the Edit Profile entry. It's under the Account subheading midway down.
Now you're in Edit Profile.
At the bottom you'll see three entries: *Facebook*, *Twitter* and *Instagram*.
If you press any of these entries you can immediately enter any web link you see fit. However, you will probably want to enter a social link that's relevant to that entry as it'll have a big logo next to your Profile related to that particular social network.
So let's add your social network link. Navigate to your mobile browser, go to the social network in question (e.g. Facebook.com), go to your Profile and copy the web link found there. Mine is https://www.facebook.com/MonkRabbit.
Paste the web links in your Profile and you've created your Facebook social link. Repeat for the social networks you'd like and you'll see those icons next to your Profile for users to see and visit.
Don't forget to include the **https://** before the URL as it's important for us to protect against fraudulent or virus-ridden web addresses. HTTPS helps us a lot in that regard.
In the future we'll allow users to make these links public for every user but right now they'll only be visible to your friends list. This should keep your privacy intact and your friends happy to know you're a real person.
