Spending a long time today on optimising JellyChip and it’s not easy business.
We’re coming towards the end of our current optimising but believe me, it’s not been an easy ride. In fact it’s been 12 weeks in the making. What’s that - 3 months!! 3 months optimising JellyChip with no new features and nothing to prove for what we’ve done.
These are the ridiculous exchanges we have with each other every day, and it’s almost like we’re going crazy. But we’ve worked in this way in expectation for what’s to come. Clean code, better infrastructure and optimised architecture.⠀
All for a lot of users (hopefully).⠀
Today half the team is working very hard on optimising the survey screen and profile screen. The other half of the team is working on JellyChip Voting v.2.
When our optimising is finished towards next week, we’ll switch the whole team completely to new features. What a journey it’s been and we’re still exhausted from the update we just completed. But it’s the right thing to do.⠀
The world needs JellyChip and they need a charity solution that can break through borders and boundaries, ethnicities and cultures. ⠀
We’re building JellyChip with the expectation that the whole world will be with us one day. And it’s certainly going to be rewarding when that happens.
Today’s goal is to continue to lay the foundations for JellyChip Voting v.2. We’ll explain a little more about that as we delve deeper but it’ll allow you to take control of your giving on JellyChip.
This is something people clearly want (it makes them happy) so we’re working to that end.
Then it’s onto giving people the ability to reply to Snaps, a leaderboard, better donating, a better UI for our survey site and categories in Gift Voting.
