I am writing this post to show my deepest appreciation for you. Without you, we wouldn't be able to achieve what we do. I remember sitting in my office in another life, each day thinking about why I was working for the corporate "man". Why I was toiling over the same pointless material that provided no benefit to anybody. One day I realised that we all had the power to change our own destiny and I had to make the choice to achieve "so much more." I had the potential to create something that was impactful and meaningful - we all do. We all have dreams.
But in order to do this, sometimes we have to leave our closest friends and family behind. Sometimes we have to leave our lives and start new ones. I knew JellyChip was going be the biggest cost. But if I did not take this step, I wouldn't be able to leave my life behind. I would be lost to the world.
On May 5th 2014 I founded JellyChip. My goal was to create a whole new model for changing lives and revolutionise charity giving. Over the last three years, your contribution towards using JellyChip has proven that model, and for that I am eternally grateful. I'm also thankful for your support of my dream. We've gone through hardships. We've had to make some very hard decisions - sometimes at the top of the company. But in the end, we've succeeded to get to this point. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be here. I'm very thankful that you've been there for us. You've made JellyChip the cooperate place of change that it needs to be. And this is only the beginning.
Many organisations have gone through their difficulties and JellyChip is no exception. We continue to struggle financially in paying for our growing charitable impact, our 17 staff (who are building the JellyChip brand to change the world), and our large server costs. These will only increase and our debt will grow larger. Yet as the stress and anxiety grows on our shoulders, I know we are going to change the world forever - and this is what we should focus on. Profit will come from surveys when our user base is larger to survey and provide data to businesses (honest data). Good times will come. All we have to do is advertise JellyChip like no tomorrow and share what we're building with the world.
As we start marketing heavily in the weeks ahead, I am going to continue to remember how small JellyChip once was, and how we started. How you used JellyChip and found bugs, found issues and made suggestions that would impact the path JellyChip has taken. We are a team and we work together. JellyChip will bring us more closely together as we continue to change the world for the better. We began this journey 3 years ago and we've got a long road ahead. But thank you.
