Introducing the official launch of JellyChip - a playground for changing lives! We just wrapped up a small launch event this weekend and I'm still overwhelmed with the positive response we felt. It was an incredible time to share what JellyChip has been creating over the last year and to share how far we've come so far.
What excites me more than anything is how it's now in the hands of our users. Sure we've got a few bugs here and there, but it's the potential of JellyChip that excites me deeply. There's a movement in this somewhere, we just need to nurture it - to focus in and grow it from the inside.
JellyChip will be what its users want it to be. Whether that is the next MySpace, the next Facebook or the next Google - time, effort, patience, and luck will tell. JellyChip requires a great amount of work to cultivate it into a brand with sufficient "class" but we'll get there. We have the building blocks to turn this site into a Google 2.0.
We're in this magical time when anything is possible. I truly believe we have the power to change the world and it simply involves the belief that this can done. Users can buy charitable gifts for free and it's completely free. Businesses pay for those gifts with surveys that target our users and those businesses can then find information relevant to their needs. And this symbiotic relationship just works.
The next step for us is to get the few bugs we have ironed out and then spread news of the JellyChip site across the Internet and through word of mouth. The more people experience JellyChip for the first time, the more I believe they'll see how we can change the world together. And they can do so from the comfort of their living room which is pretty cool indeed.
Anyway it's time to publicise JellyChip as much as we can to gain support for the social network. We have a long road ahead but it's an enjoyable one. It's a life changing one and it's changing me!
