So we thought we'd explain JellyChip 2.12 a little further now that it's been launched for 2 days!
JellyChip 2.12 focuses mainly on improving your Profile. We've spent a lot of time discussing your Profile and how it works. In particular, how people see your Profile.
Profile pages on social media platforms are huge personal spaces, and we've had to make changes to our Profile system to give it the unique flair that makes people keep visiting their friends. In this way - we've simplified the Bought section of the Profile.
Anyway - before we get into that let's go through each feature in detail.
> You can now view details of your Profile level
We've added level titles and upgrade notifiers to your Profile! Simply tap the level number on your Profile and you'll see a dropdown with your level, a level title, the season it was achieved and the points required for your next level.
We want to keep level requirements secret for now, and when JellyChip Season One ends, but take note! When this season has finished, new users will have a brand new series of titles to aim for and will never see yours again. It will be unique for your season. This will make it incredibly cool to show off in the future.
> Your Profile now has clearer personal achievements
Our previous way to display your giving was rather messy, a bundle of numbers in your Profile and an assortment of icons that didn't actually mean much. Your new Profile shows gifts earned by yourself, the quantity earned and is now sorted by "most donated" - much like our new Bought section. It is now also linked to our leaderboards so now only shows gifts earned personally since October 11th.
Plus, it only shows gifts that have actually been bought in the app. This means that people have different Profile pages (for once!) Users who like to donate to the environment, for example, will show much greener Profiles than somebody who donates a little to everything.
Counting gifts earned since October 11th also "resets" the Profile experience. It's now exciting to see a friend's Profile, and see what they have earned in the last month.
> Changed the link in Feed to our Roadmap
This is important and something we haven't fully explained yet. The new "lightning" icon in Feed now points to our Feature Roadmap. Our roadmap is important because we want to start showing you what we're working on.
This is a work-in-progress roadmap of all the things we are currently adding (and plan to add) to the app. As we start planning what to work on, features move from left to right until they're completed and ready for everyone! Check out our roadmap at https://trello.com/b/7Jyfmckd/jellychip-roadmap and vote for the features you want to see!
> Mods now have the power to ban users in Feed
Uh oh, this is for the naughty people. If you're a naughty user in Feed - mods now have the power to ban you. Enough said.
> Fixed a bunch of issues
Yay - fixes! We're always improving JellyChip and want to fix bugs beyond anything else. A stable platform for you is a life-changing platform for the world. So we've fixed a bunch of stuff.
