Probably the best feeling in the world is in changing the life of someone in need. The JellyChip dev team is all super fortunate to grow up in countries where they can live freely, eat properly and sleep well at night. And just by the lottery of life they haven't been born in another set of conditions.
And that's what drives us all every day. Today we worked heavily on refactoring the app backend to increase its stability and scalability. We expect huge growth this year as we begin marketing in the next couple of months, and it's now essential to plan for that. We also worked heavily today on strengthening our Group Chat stability - this is a component of the app that currently lacks a solid foundation as it was developed in haste (because we wanted to push the feature live). This is now being refactored into something beautiful.
Also, now that our image upload is in the live version of the app on iOS and Android, we can finally focus our attention on platform stability. This is a good next step for us and it's "time".
By the way everyone, I don't say it enough and maybe I should learn how to properly say "well done" but seriously - congrats on our 6,000th charity gift on JellyChip! I'm so proud of each and every one of you, we're on this ridiculous journey and we're changing the world. We've done 0 marketing and already we've got so many people changing lives right here. When we actually start marketing it's going to be even more ridiculous. 6000 gifts is a massive achievement for a network in its infancy so thank you.
We'll do everything we can this year to make JellyChip stable and as feature-packed as JellyCitizens want it to be. Once we get larger and make larger donations as well we'll hope to get real time feedback from our charity partners. So our citizens can SEE the impact they're making. Together we'll move mountains this year.
