So we took a brief trip to the Philippines yesterday to interview a potential Chipper for a position we're creating called Head of Community and it went really well.
It's so interesting to be surrounded by different cultures and experiences. I become way too familiar too easily with my surroundings and Singapore is no exception.
It's a strange feeling to not know what you're doing in another land but it's refreshing. I've been to the Philippines long enough to know better but I'm still not used to the crazy traffic and chaos of Manila. Maybe no one is.
The interview went well. This person has been active in JellyChip for a very long time and loves you guys such a phenomenal amount. Probably what we lack right now is transparency, a "face" and a set of ears. And this person understands that and I think she could help perfectly.
I'm posting right now on https://www.jellychip.com as much as possible - to update you on our dev progress. But we need to also listen to your feedback, create in-app events and make you feel like JellyChip is home.
We need to communicate what we're doing and talk with you about how to improve JellyChip. We want to make you happy, sad and everything in between. It's about you and us.
This year has been especially difficult because we've had to completely change our design, revise our focus on the environment and finish the foundations f our platform for change.
The core of JellyChip should really be finished by the end of December and we're working incredibly hard for that.
But now is an ideal time to start thinking about our Head of Community.
There's exciting things ahead and I truly hope to make JellyChip a place where you're happy, comfortable, changing lives and that we're relevant to your day to day.
This position will be the perfect start to that.
