We spent a lot of time over the last couple of days making key decisions that will affect all JellyChip users. Decisions that are important to make whilst our user base is very small. These include ways to incentivise users to spend more points and team up together, something JellyChip is currently lacking. In our discussions today, especially, we outlined a plan that could fix our shortcomings. We are always aware we can improve JellyChip and we know that JellyChip lacks a competitive aspect familiar to other platforms.
Probably a competitive aspect, a sense of "depth" and the "cool" factor. JellyChip is definitely cool but it could be cooler, and it could certainly enjoy a deeper (more complex) experience, and a competitive platform.
The "spice", the "secret sauce", the special ingredient that will complete JellyChip. Perhaps this is fantasy talk but I always think there is one final element to complete a product, often thought of at the 11th hour. Anyway we think we've found ours but we won't reveal too much now. You'll have to wait and see what the next couple of weeks holds.
In other news, the devs uploaded our newest iOS version to the App Store, containing a number of key fixes and features as we rebalance the JellyChip points economy and make things faster. We'll document this in a blog post after this.
We also added 6 new charity gifts to JellyChip today! Gifts that will really change the lives of people all over Africa and Asia. And I think our next step will be refugee gifts as we seek inspirational refugee charities. Given what's happening in the world today this is especially important and something we almost have a duty to assist with. I hope to show you refugee gifts in the upcoming weeks and months.
