The Storytelling Project (TSP) is a non profit organization that aims to spark hope, inspiration and imagination through storytelling; to make reading an enjoyable experience for children; to start a reading habit; and to instill the love of reading and learning in the kids they reach out to. Around 1 in ten Filipinos aged 6-24 years old is an out-of-school youth. The top 3 reasons why Filipinos quit school are marriage, insufficient family income or a lack of interest in schooling. This gift helps build a square metre of a library in an impoverished remote community in the Philippine provinces. The gift not only includes books but also the actual construction materials like cement and paint, as well as the labor and the furniture or fixtures inside, in order to fully create the library for a community.
This gift impacts communities in the Philippines and costs 880 points on JellyChip.
The target charity is The Storytelling Project.
