St. La Salle Preschool in Manila was established to educate the poor preschool aged children who live in the slum area surrounding De La Salle University. The families are generally labourers, drive taxis, run small food outlets or are unemployed. There are two classes – one for 4 year olds and the other for 5 year olds with two separate sessions a day. There are three female teaching staff including the principal. This gift pays for one day of preschool for a child in urban Manila. This will allow them to complete their early childhood learning, and helps pay for their school fees, uniforms, text books and other learning material.
This gift supports communities in the Philippines and costs 1006 points on JellyChip.
The target charity is the Lasallian Foundation.
