The Storytelling Project (TSP) is a non profit organization that aims to spark hope, inspiration and imagination through storytelling; to make reading an enjoyable experience for children; to start a reading habit; and to instill the love of reading and learning in the kids they reach out to. Around 1 in ten Filipinos aged 6-24 years old is an out-of-school youth. The top 3 reasons why Filipinos quit school are marriage, insufficient family income or a lack of interest in schooling. This gift helps keep a community book club alive for one day, providing one child with the ability to attend the event. It is not enough for TSP to give books, conduct reading programs and build libraries. This book club is open to the whole community and meets regularly for learning activities.
This gift impacts communities in the Philippines and costs 200 points on JellyChip.
The target charity is The Storytelling Project.
